Week of 7/24
Mon 7/24
Decent action today with good #'s of sea bass to 5 1/2 pounds. Paul Ryan was our pool winner with a 6 1/2 pound fluke.

Tuesday 7/25
Good action tiday with the pool fluke captured by Norman Trueb weighing in at 8.1 pounds. A nice fish at 6.5 pounds was also weighed in. The sea bass bite is increasing with fish to 5 pounds hitting the scale.

Wed 7/26
The fluke action was good this morning yielding an 8 pound pool winner taken by Victor Irvin.
The afternoon trip made a winner out of Brookln Lou courtesy of the 5 pound fluke he caught.

Excellent night bass action with the boat nailing its limit. Paul Ryan scored with a whopping 47 pound striper! Awesome night with 20 fish over 30 pounds!!

Thurs 7/27
Decent fluke bite today with the morning pool winner, Howie Cohen, nailing it with a 7 pounder. It was a 5 /12 pound flattie that put a smile on Chuck Sharf's face and the Money in his pocket on the afternoon trip.

Sat 7/29
Good AM bite as evident by Valerie King and her 7 1/2 pound pool winning fluke. the afternoon pool fish weighed in at 5 pounds.

Night bass had a decent bite early, some blues, with Kathy Kronuck winning the pool with a 32 pound striper.

Sun 7/30
Some very good action today with close to 100 keeper fluke sailing over the rails. many tipped the scales between 4 and 6 pounds. Edith Martinez earned bragging rights with her 7 3/4 pound fluke.

Sea Otter charters:
Wed 7/27
Good A.M trip using live bait Mike Preiss had a 35 pound striper. Also had some nice fluke to 5 pounds. jeremy G. swung a 6 pound 15 oz. sea bass over the rails.

Wed night 7/26
Awesome action with plenty of quality fish with the largest tipping the scales at 38 pounds coutesy of Sean "sunshine" Sheridan. A dozen fish over 30 pounds.

Thurs 7/27
Half day charter today with Steve Petrecca. Using live bait some nice fish sailed over the rails. Steve had the largest at 41 1/2 pounds. Mike had a 35 pounder.

Fri 7/28
"Krispy Creme" Nagelwas out with some pals for some terrific bass action this morning. 9 fish over the rails over 30 pounds. Nagel nailed it with a 41 pounder. Chris Schmitt couldn't complain with his heaviest coming in at 36 1/2 pounds. Kenny Schmitt was the porgey master bringing in at least 8 of them on the boat.

Sat 7/29
The Livingston Electric team were out for their annual full day affair. Awesome day with plenty of keeper fluke sailing over the rails. 30 of which tipped the scales over 5 pounds. High hook was Steve who was on fire with 19 keepers to 8.3 pounds. Dean Livingston weighed in a nice 7 3/4 pound flattie and Rob was the pool winner with an 8.2 pound fluke. The gang also weighed some nice sea bass to 6 pounds.

Sun 7/30
The Roslyn Highland Fire Department sailed again today mixing it up with fluke and sea bass action. Nice quality fish Jim Goolsby weighed in a 7 pounder, Terry Murtagh had a 7 1/4 pounder and one step ahead was Joe Graff with a 7 1/2 pound flattie. The guys also had some keeper stripers with Mike Gannon showing how it was done.

Sea Otter V sails full day trips 7AM-4Pm Sun, Mon & Tues. Wed. thru Sat. we sail 1/2 day trips at 8Am then 1PM. Please call for reservations for the night striper trips. We use live eels for bait and sail at 7PM on Wed, Fri, Sat& Sun. We have added Tues 8/8 and 8/22 and Thurs 8/10 and 8/24 to take advantage of the moons.

Week of 7/17
Mon 7/17
Decent fluke bite in the morning with some sea bass mixed in. Pool fish was 4 pounds.
Tues 7/18
Nice mix of fluke and sea bass today. Mr. koo won th epool courtesy of his 6 pound fluke. Ralph swung a beauty of a sea bass at 5 1/2 pounds over the rails.

Wed 7/19
Really good number of keepers sailing over the rails this morning. the 7.1 pound fluke caught by Roger Veglie earned him the pool honors. The afternoon pool fish weighed in at 4 pounds.

Sat 7/22
Good action in the morning with plebnty of shorts to weed through. Mr. Lee won th epool with a 3 1/2 pounder. The afternoon pool was won by Bob Styles abd his 3 pound pool fish.


Sea Otter IV Charters
Sun nite 7/16
Charles Kusiak of Oklahoma chartered the boat for some twilight action. Lots of bluefish action. The gang limited out on bass with Clayton highhook and the pool won by brandy.

Mon 7/17
Geoff Lawrence and his friends made a day out of it. Mixing it up with fluke with a decent bite in th emornig and some nice sized sea bass.

Sat 7/22
Chuck Gifford and friends were out. Caught bass and blues on buck tails. Had adecent fluke bite going until th ewind came on making for some tough conditions.

Matt McShane chartered tonite for some fishing action to celebrate Brandons last days of bachelorhood. Lots and lots of bluefish and some nice keeper bass came over the rails.

Sun 7/23
Mario Pereira and the guys from Grizzly Contracting were out for a full day trip. Tough fluke fishing due to the large swell. Lots of blues and bass action with Antonio nabbing th elargest bass and Mario takingthe pool on blues and fluke.

Week of 7/10

For much of the week anglers enjoyed the definate improvement on the fluke front.

Tuesday 7/11 there were 3 fish over 8 pounds and Ernie Houston hit the pool with an 8 1/4 pounder. Over 60 keepers boated with plenty in the 4-6 pound range.

Thurs 7/13
Quality and quantity are improving with many anglers nabbing their limit. 8 year old Chris Dutra was high hook on Thursday with 5 keepers. He also won the pool with a 6 pound flattie.

Fri 7/14
Friday it was Mike Rooney's turn to take top honors with his 7 pound fluke.
The night striped bass trip on Friday made a winner out of Jim Burks. He snatched the prize money with his 38 pound striper.


Sat 7/15
The Saturday morning trip was awesome with great action including the 10 3/4 pound doormat swung over the rails by Maryellen Amaty! The afternoon trip also had some excellent fishing with over 30 keepers nailed and some nice sea bass mixed in to 3 pounds.

Saturday night bass trip made Steve Husack our pool winner with a 24 pound striper.

Sun 7/16
Sunday's all day trip was a sucess with a very decent pick of good quantity and quality with good numbers in the 4-6 pound range. Over 60 keepers nailed and a pool winner at 7 3/4 pounds by Mr. Kim.

Sea Otter IV Charters
Sun 7/9
Sunday night Mike Holley and pals chartered the boat for some bass action. Plenty of keepers and shorts to keep the poles bent. The guys nabbed their limit early and Connor took the pool with a 20 pound striper.


Mon 7/10, Tues 7/11, Wed 7/12
Al Dudas took over the boat for three nights to take advantage of the full moon. Monday had a good bite going on jigs, with the guys taking theirlimit with stripers to 27 pounds. Some shorts mixed in as well. Tuesday proved another decent night with the guys again taking their limit to 32 pounds. Bill was high hook with 5. Wednesday was also good with Russ finally breaking his bad luck streak by nailing 3 fish to 29 pounds.

Fri 7/14
Friday Sean Connolly and the gang chartered for a half day trip of mixing it up with bass and blues. Plenty of actionwith good numbers of shorts returned.

Fri 7/14
Friday night Ed Wozencroft was back with his gang for their annual night striper trip. Excellent fishing with the crew of 14 guys nailing their limit with 6 fish over 30 pouinds taken. Mike won the pool with a 32 pounder.

Sat 7/15
Saturday morning John Palladino and friend came out for a 1/2 day trip of very good striper and blues action. Karen nailed the first fish and Max caught his 1st triper ever. Corey was their pool winner with a 17 pound striper.

Sunday 7/16
We had Bob Danza and pals out celebrating the final days of batchelorhood. Very good fluke fishing with lots of fish over 5 pounds and over 40 keepers landed. John turino was high hook with 7 keepers and John Gentile had the pool at 7 1/2 pounds.

Week of 7/3
Mon 7/3
Decent fluke action today with Hank winning the pool with a 6 3/4 pound fluke.

Tues 7/4
Good fluking today on the south side with fish to 7 pounds.

Wed 7/5
A nice repeat of yesterday with good numbers taking their limit. Another 7 pounder took the pool.
Nite bass
Montauk's own Kathy Kronuch nailed the pool with a 30 pound striper.

Thurs 7/6
The afternoon trip earned David Chamberlin bragging rights as he took home the pool money courtesy of his 7 pound flattie.

Fri 7/7
The afternoon half day fluke trip earned Big Mike a 4 3/4 pound fluke and the pool money.

Nite bass - Nice quality fish tonite. Three fish over 30 pounds including our pool wiiner, Mike Herbst with his 38 pound striper. John Aspinall nailed a 31 pounder.

Sat 7/8
The morning trip snagged a 7 1/2 pound fluke for Phil Zagarella to win the pool. The afternoon pool winner was Barbara Jackson who reeled in a 4 1/ 2pound fluke.
Nite bass
Tough bite tonite. A 28 pound striper took the pool.

Sun 7/9
Good fluking action tiday with a 7 pounder winning th epool. A good handful of sea bass hitting th edeck as well.

Sea Otter IV Charters:
Mon 7/3 Nicole Bargallo and her family were out and enjoyed plenty of fluke action. Anette had the pool at 5 pounds.

Tues 7/4
Mr. Hahn and family were out for their annual 4th of July fishing trip. Tons of fluke action today with over 40 keepers hitting the deck. Martin had their pool with a 6 /12 pound flattie.

Thurs 7/6 Terry taylor and buddies were out today celebrating the upcoming wedding of their pal Phil. Tough bass fishing but Terry managed the pool fish. Dexent porgie and fluke bite. Tommy wa shigh hook on fluke until Bobby Bear beat him out and won the pool.

Fri 7/7 Al Goldberg and friends were back. Catching scup and some good fluke action. A few double headers swung over the rails. High hook was 9 with fluke to 5 pounds.

Sat 7/8 Our morning half day charter was Susan Lee and Leland Burnett having a family reunion with their gang. Diamond jigging for bass and blues yeilded Rory the largest bass of th emorning.
The afternoon charter was Greg Mone and his lacrosse fellas from Manhasset. Very good fluke fishing. With lou getting th eball rolling there were over 30 keepers hitting the deck for the afternoon to 5 pounds. Jeremy even managed to squeeze in a nice 3 pound sea bass.

Sun 7/9
Billy Pyne and friends chartered the boat today for some mixed bag action. Diamond jigging bass and blues,Billy was high hook. Wayne was high hook on keeper fluke.

Week of 6/26

Tues 6/27
Headed towards Gardiners for some real good fluking action. Over 40 keeprs landed amidst plenty of shorts. Dave Setaro won the pool with an 8 pounder.

Wed 6/28
Don Brenner won the fluke pool today with a 5 pound fluke.

Thurs 6/29
Ilya Zerakhto had a group out today. They gang mixed it up with Mike Webster nailing the 2 biggest fluke at 6 3/4 and and 5 1/2 pounds. Did some diamond jigging and met up with lots of blue fish action.


Fri 6/30
Decent fluke action today - decent number of keepers as well. John Altoonian was high hook with 7 keepers and managed the pool at 6 1/2 pounds.

Night Bass - tough fishing tonite with wind against the tide. Carlos Tello "NJ Boy" was high hook with 3 keepers. Lord Kishian Tulsteri won the pool with a nice striper weighing 25 pounds.

Sat 7/1
The open boatproduced a nice 6 pound fluke to win the pool this morning.

Paul Capobianco chartered Sea Otter Iv for some diamond jigging with some buddies. lots of blue fish action. Ended with half a dozen keeper stripers in the mix. Tim McNamara took in the
largest at 20 pounds.

Sat night
The bite turned on late and conditions were tough. A pair of 25 pound stripers tied for the pool.

Sun 7/2
Tough wind conditions today. The pool winner was Juan and his 5 pound fluke.

Please let readers know that or new schedule had full day trips running from 7am-4pm, Sun, Mon and Tues. Wed thru Sat we will run 1/2 day fluke trips. Night bass is Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun. Hope to see you out here soon!
