FISHING REPORT

Mon 6/20
Good fluke bite today with Hearst Mills limiting out with 4 fish over 5 pounds. Roger, Donald, Steve and Capt. Joel all went home with their limits. The pool was won by Mike Lee form East Coast Tackle, he nabbed a 7 1/2 pound flattie. Nice quality fish and soem good sea bass action as well.

Tues 6/21
Not the best conditions today with the afternoon bringing wind against te tide. Kenny, Ray, John #1, John #2 and Jimmy all took their fluke limits home. Kenny Donnelly won th epool with a 7 1/4 pounder.

Wed 6/22
Good fishing on the South Side today with the incoming tide. Paul Ryan nabbed a 7 pounder but lost out on the epool winnings when Richie "Straws" Maggio pulled an 8 pound fluke over the rails.

Thurs 6/23
Wind against th etide today resulted inb poor conditions and plenty of dog fish to contend with. The pool was a 5 pound fluke caught by Tom Pfaffe.

Fri 6/24-
Good fishing on the incoming tide out near frisbees. Randy Donnelly won th epool with a nice quality 7 pound flattie.

Fri night bass
The June moon did not disappoint. With good quantity and excellent quality coming over the rails. Bob Vigil nailed a 45 pound bass and in th esame drift a real cow was hauled over the rails. Roger Veglie brought in our biggest bass of the season so far weighing in at 53 pounds!

Sat 6/25 see charter
Sat niht stripers
Good night with close to 40 keepers over the rails. Nice quantity and the pool was won by Donald Dunn with a 24 pounder.

Sund 6/26
Rob Crane pulled out a nice falttie to win todays pool atr 8 1/2 pounds!

SEA OTTER IV CHarters
Fri 6/24
Ken Wozencroft and buddies from the Suffolk County Courthouse had a great evening of bass action. Mike nabbed the first fish of th enight and was high hook with 5 keepers. His largest weighed in at 28 pounds. Dennis nailed a nice 26 pounder.

Sat 6/25
Jim Polons and the group from PSE&G chartered Se aOtter V and had a great day with MIke bringing 11 keepers obver the rails up to 6 1/2 pounds. Angelo nailed a 7 /14 pound fluke. There were plenty of dogfish to contend with but the guys still had a good day. Brian struggled with a 45 pound Torpedo Ray that he managed to get in the boat, although there weren't too many brave souls willing to taket itoff the hook!

Week of 6/13
The beginning of the week saw saw decent action in the rips. Pesky dogfish managed to put in an appearance though. Tuesdays pool winner was Mark Simos with a 4 1/2 pound fluke.

Wednesday saw some very good action with most people getting their limit. Deb Bennett weighed in a 6.3 pounder to take the pool she also had a nice 5.5 pounder.

Thursday gave us a repeat up wednesday with solid action. Mr. Choi nabbed the pool at 6 1/2 pounds.

Friday was a good day with nice quality fluke landed. Paul Ryan won the pool with an 8.5 pound flattie.
Saturday was a decent day for fluke with the morning winner a 5 1/2 pounder taken by John Klein. The afternoon it was Bob Wild of Northport who won with a 3 1/2 pounder.

Sunday
Ok fluke action with Ace Moob nailing an 8 pound flattie to win the pool.

Sea Otter IV Charters
Fri 6/17
Paul Palazollo and buddies mixed it up for the day. Diamond jigging the guys threw plenty of keeper bass back after retaining their limit to 23 pounds. Good pick of fluke to 5 pounds.
Friday night
Paul Ryan chartered Sea Otter IV for some night striper action. They limited out on bass. Walter had the biggest striper weighing 22 pounds.
Saturday 6/18
John Gaynor and friends were back again for a mixed bag day. The guys landed 20 keeper bass to 25 pounds on diamond jigs. Some decent action fluking as well with John bringing a 6 1/4 pounder over the rails, edging out the "Oven-stuffer" birthday boy who had a 6 pounder.
Sunday 6/19
Steve Politosky and the dads were out for their annual Fathers Day charter. Mixing it up Steve Politosky diamond jigged a 19 pound striper. Bert broughht the first keepr fluke over the rails and Dennnis had 3 nice sea bass.

Mon 6/6
Decent fluke catch down the South side today with Pop Verriest winning the pool with an 8 pounder.

Tues 6/7
Good pick down the south side with lots of short action. John Campbell won the pool with a 5 pounder.

Wed 6/8
Slower fluke bite on the South side today but the 6 1/2 pound pool winner was plucked by Mr. Kim from Palisades Park.

Thurs 6/9
The Advance Hook & Ladder Engine Company No. 1 from Bellmore chartered the V today
for some mixed action. It was "Big" Jimmy's day as he had his limit of fluke and won the fluke pool with a 5 pounder. He also nabbed the bass pool, diamond jigging a 20 pounder

Fri 6/10
Ok day down the South side with Steve "the net cryer" managing high hook with 7 keepers to 6 pounds (returned overage to the water). Mike Saraco won the pool with a nice 8 pound fluke.

Sat 6/11

The East Islip Fire Department was out today on the V. Tough fishing but a decent day for Bill Meter who had 5 keepers (4 in one rift!) and the pool winner at 6 1/2 pounds.

Sat night bass saw some nice quality fish landed in the rips on eels but a late bite. Th epoool was won by Joe Sullivan who nabbed a 30 pounder.

Sun 6/12

It was a good pick of some nice fish from the Rips today. Bong Kim won the pool with a 7 pound flattie.

Fri 6/10

Dave Aboudi and his friends went out and had some fun bucktailing for bass in the race. Dave had 6 keepers to 25 pounds.

Sat night 6/11

Damian Maddalena chartere the boat for some night time action. Decent night with Rob Fitzsimmons, on his first ever basssing trip nailing 5 keepers. Ilya Milyoslavski won the pool with a 31.5 pounder.

Sun 6/12

Craig Gersbeck was out with some pals for some fluke action. Bobby took home his limit as well as winning the poool with a 5 pound fluke.



tues 5/31
Ok fluke bite down thne South side today. Kenny M. won the poool with a 7 pound flattie.

Wed 6/1
Headed to Block Island where there was a good bite in the morning and headed towards the south side for another good bite for the afternoon. Most people took in their fluke limit. There also was some bluefish actionand some small bass on diamond jigs. The fluke pool winner was Ben Levine with a 7 1/2 pounder.

Thurs 6/2
Fluking is red hot! Boat limited out with the average keeper around 3 pounds. Some good quality as well as quantity reeled in. Bill Jasinsky nailed an 8 1/2 pounder but the pool winner was Steve "the net cryer" Gianiotis who hauled a 9 pounder over the rails. Good thing someone was listening to him this time!

Sat 6/4
Morning trip on the slow side with lots of shorts to throw back and a pick of keepers. Matt Kim won the pool with a 5 pound fluke.
The afternoon had a tough drift with a pick of fluke. Pool winner was Bob Marchese with a 5 1/2 pound fluke.

Sun 6/5
The pool fluke today was won by a hair with gun Kim weighing in an 8.2 pounder. Close behind was Thomas Kim with an 8 pound flattie.

Sea Otter IV Charters:
Friday 6/3, the Lakeland Fire Department headed out for some fluke fishing. John won their pool with a 7 1/2 pounder. Lisa was high hook in the skate category but turned it around in the end with some good fluke landings..

Saturday 6/4
Bob Kaich and his crew from Tech-Clean headed out for some fluke action. An abundance of dog fish invaded our fluke territory but Bob managed to be high hook with fluke. Tough drift made fortough fishing.

Sun 6/5
Perry Lyras and friends headed out for bass and fluke today. Happy Birthday to 12 y/o Mike who landed the biggest bass of the day at 15 1/2 pounds (diamond jigged). Marc had the pool fluke at 7 pounds. Blues and bass mixed up the day with plenty of shorts thrown back.

Please note that Sea Otter IV will be operating the Full Day Combo trip
as an open boat on Thurs 6/9 and the half day trips on Sat 6/11. The first No Mans Land Trip is scheduled for thurs 6/23 call today for reservations.
