FISHING REPORT

Mon 6/21
Good fluking today in the Rips. Roger Veglie nailed a 6.8 pounder to win the pool.
Tues 6/22
The morning trip was terrific with anglers taking their limit on fluke. Greg R. won the pool with a 6 1/2 pounder.
Wed 6/23
Good fluke morning with the limit met again. Brooklyn Lou won the pool with his 5 pound fluke.
The afternoon saw similiar results. Again fishing in the rips, anglers had their limit. Roger Veglie won the pool with a 7 pound fluke.
Wed night
Bassing was a slow pick in the rips but Rob Westover managed a 29 pounder to win the pool earnings.
Thurs 6/24
The morning trip limited out on fluke. Roger Veglie is on fire (and on vacation - fishing most of the week) winning the poool again with a 4 pounder. Captain Joel brought in a 6 1/4 pounder.
Thursday afternoon was a bit slower but Sung Ok hit the pool with a 4 pound fluke.

Friday 6/25
Excellent fluke fishing from the South side to the Rips. Boat limited out! "#1 Fisherman Mr. Park" won the pool with a 5 lb fluke. Diamond jigging was decent with Ron nailing a 20 lb. striper

Sat 6/26
Fluking held up in the morning at the rips. Roger Veglie took top honors again with a 5 lb fluke. The afternoon action improved over at the South side with 3/4 of the boat nabbing is limit. Mr. "Ace" Moon won the pool with a 5 lb fluke.

Saturday night bassing had some ok results in the rips. Victor from Fisherman Depot nailed a nice 32 pounder and John reeled in 3 keepers (keeping only his limit) Julio Castro won the pool with a 29 pound striper.

Sat charter
John Gaynor and buddies chartered Sea Otter IV for a mixed bag day and were rewarded with a large amount of fluke, some sea bass and good numbers of porgies. John himself nailed a 91/2 pound fluke. Other fluke came over the rails to 6 1/2 pounds. Diamond jigging actiopn was good with a mess of blue fish and stripers coming over the rails.
Sun 6/27
A bit hot and cold today on the South side but "#1 Fisherman Mr. Park" was back and reeled in a nice 8 pound fluke to win the pool.
Sun charter
Sea otter IV had out Bob Miskewicz for some fluking action. Good quantities with andy weighing in a 5 1/2 pounder. Also a nice run on porgies ip to 3 pounds.

Sat 6/26

Mon 6/14
Full day trip with steady action on bass and fluke. Henry Hauck won the pool with his 5 pound fluke.

Tuesday 6/15
The fluke action was pretty good today with Ben winning the pool with his 41/2 pound fluke.

Wed 6/16
Good fluking on the south side today. The boat had its limit in both the morning and the afternoon trips. Kim took the AM pool with a 6 pound fluke. The afternoon was won by Ray Leung with a 5 pound fluke.

Wed night bassing was pretty good in the rips. Vinnie Swanda and Chrome Dome each had 4 kepers while Ralphie T. had 5. (anglers kept only their limit.)
Chris Baccala won the pool with a 39 1/2 pound striped bass.

Fri 6/18 Good full day trip. Some nice diamond jigging action in the rips on the incoming tide. Just a few shy of the boats limit. Good fluke action with Billy Devito winning the pool with his 6 pound fluke.

Fri night
Excellent striper action. Boat limited out. Mike Delgrasso won the pool with his 32 pound beauty.

Sat 6/19
The morning trip took us to the South side where John Jong won the pool with a 5 1/2 pound fluke.
The afternoon was a real slow drift. The pool fish was won by Roger at 3 1/2 pounds.

Sat night was terrific with the boat limiting out on stripers taken with live eels. Ace Moon was high hook with 9 keepers (releasing extras). Betsy Blair won the pool with a 29 pound striper.

Sun 6/19
Steve Politoski got some dad's together for a fathers day outing - a mixed bag trip. Bert nailed the bass pool with a 15lber that he diamond jigged. Dennis was high hook with 12 fluke (kept only 3)

Fri 6/18
Rob Usinger's group on Fri had a terrific day. limiting out on both fluke and trolling for stripers in the Rips.



Mon 6/7
Fishing was a bit slower today but Bob Anderson brought in a 5 lb fluke to win the pool.
Tues 6/8
Fished the rips where the fluke action improved. Moon a.k.a. "Ace" took the morning pool with a 5 pound fluke and the afternoon winner was "Tangle" Chan with a 4 pounder.
Wed 6/9
Good quantities of fluke at the Elbow. Jerry Walsh won the pool with a 6 pound flattie.
Thursday 6/10
Brian Peterson and company from A&A Williams chartered Sea Otter V and had a good morning quickly nabbing their fluke limit and diamond jigging some nice bass up to the high teens. The afternoon had Brian McCarthy and pals take over the boat for a charter of unbelievable bass jigging at the Elbow. Over 45 keepers came over the rails.
Fri 6/11
A steady pick of fluke throughout the day under the radar. Good quantity but not too big. Jeff won the pool with a 2 1/2 pound fluke.
Fri night 6/11
Good quantities of bass coming over the rails, 15 passengers and 3 away from the limit. Ralphie T. nabbed the pool earnings with a 32 pound striper.
Sat 6/12
Fished the south side in the AM where Ben won the pool with a 4 1/2 pound fluke. The afternoon we headed back out and 6 y/o Griffen tooke 2nd place in the pool with a 3 1/2 pound fluke and Bob Vikse took 1st with a 4 pounder.
Sat night 6/12
Fished the Pollack rip where Jay Clougherty won the pool with his striper of 25 pounds.

SEA OTTER IV CHARTERS
Fri 6/11
Ralph Kennedy and friends chartered Sea Otter IV for a mixed bag day. After bringing in their limit of fluke, they headed over to the Elbow and Pollack rip and had some fun diamond jigging bass to 21 pounds.

Fri 6/11
Jason Watklevitcz and his buddies chartered Sea Otter IV for some night eeling for bass. Pretty good pick with the largest weighing in at 27 pounds.

Sat 6/12 The guys from Neil Buick chartered Sea Otter IV for a mixed day. The gang nabbed their limit on fluke and then picked away at some bass by diamond jigging. Mike Jr. won the pool with a bass in the low twenty pound range.

Sat night 6/12
Sean o'Reilly and freinds chartered Sea Otter IV for some night eeling. Great night with the gang limiting out. Chris brought in a 34 1/2 pounder and Sean nabbed a 30 pounder.

Mon 5/31
The afternoon trip was terrific with the boat limiting out on fluke. Mitchell took the pool winnings with a 5 pounder. 5 keeper bass were swung over the rails when we did some diamond jigging as well.

Tues 6/1
Fluking was a steady pick with Richard Bergen winning the pool with a 6 pounder.

Wed 6/2 The action was similiar. Todays pool winner was Charlie Doyle who weighed in a 6 pounder.

Fri 6/4
Paul Palazzolo and his pals were out for the day on Sea Otter IV. A good day with Walt winning his first fishing pool ever with his 5 lb fluke. Good numbers of stripers came over the rails with Darren jigging a nice 25 pounder. Captain Joel got in on the action and nailed a doormat of a fluke at 13 1/2 pounds.

Fri 6/4
Suffolk County Court Officers chartered Sea Otter V for some terrific night bass action. Excellent night with the ggroup limiting out. James won the pool with a 27 1/2 pound striper.

Sat 6/5
Jim Polons and his crew from PSE&G were out on Sea Otter V for a mixed bag day. Good action when the conditions cooperated. Henry won the fluke pool with a 6 pounder and Paul took the striped bass honors with a 20 pounder.

Saturday night saw some nice striper action when the sun set. The boat limited out. Gina brought in her fosrts striped bass ever. Mike Malski won the pool with a 33 pounder.

Sunday 6/6
Very rough conditions. Bum Kim managed a 5 pound fluke to win the pool. Don was high hook with 8 keepers (kept only his limit).
