Monday 4/19
Mike Hurlod and friends chartered S.O. V for a mixed bag. Bill nabbed 1st and 2nd place with a pair of 16 pound cod. Also had some ling coming over the rails.

Wed 4/21
Decent cod action but mostly shorts. Encouraging for next season. Good quantities of ling and close to a dozen keeper flounder.

Sun 4/25
Mixed bag day with keeper ling coming in as well as lots of small cod. Encouraging flounder activity and we had some keeper blackfish in the mix as well.

S.O. IV was chartered by the North Babylon Fishing Club. Cod action late in the day with a decent quantity of shorts. A quantuty of ling also coming over the rails. Pete Governale was 1st in the pool with a 9lb cod.



Fri 4/16
Fishing southeast of Block Island we had some really good fishing today. Excellent action from the start of the day through to the finish. Good numbers of cod and lots of ling. The pool winner was steve Crane with a 15 pound cod.

Sat 4/17
Good day again with the action remaining consistent throughout. Big Bass Bob was high hook with 29 cod. He limited out with fish up to 9 pounds. Mike O'Rourke took home the pool with a 20 pound cod.

Sun 4/18
Great weather with good mixed cod action. Nice amount of ling and plenty of short cod around also some flounder in the mix. Squirt was high hook with 9 keeper cod and Mike Donegan won the pool with a 15 pound cod.

REMINDER: We've added Thursdays to our schedule and we now will be departing at 5 AM for all cod trips. Call for reservations.

Wed 4/7
Excellent codfishing today southeast of Block Island. Over 180 keepers coming over the rails. Great ling action in the morning - over 200 hitting the decks with some pollock mixed in as well. Bob Barbarisi and Lou had 18 keepers between themselves. Charlie Franzo took the pool with a 13 pound cod.

Thurs 4/8
Good fishing today with plenty of ling action to start things out. Andy Yuen took the pool with a 13 pound cod. A few Snowshoe flounder also came over the rails adding to the mix.

Sea Otter IV had a private charter out also with Bill from Best Quality Water. Excellent day with 5 fish over 20 lbs coming in. Dave Durso took the pool with a 31 pounder.

Fri 4/9
Sea Otter Iv was out with Bob Miskiewicz and friends for a private charter. Good day with some nice quality fish landed. Rich Sia nabbed a 35 pound cod and John Mc dermott nailed a 23 pounder. We also saw some nice ling and pollack action. Rich managed a double header of pollack.

Sea Otter V had some strong ling action. Hitting a good drift tpowards the end of the day enabled Zino to bring in the 20 pound pool winnner.

Sat 4/10
Continued strong ling action but a slower bite for cod. Dan Butler won the pool.


Fri 4/2
After waiting for some better weather we got out Friday, fishing was on the slow side but we did hit a good bite for a short time giving anglers some decent action. Marty Stern brought in 9 fish including the pool winner at 9 1/4 pounds.

Sat 4/3
Combining northeast wind and steady rain the conditions were tough for fishing. A good number of throwbacks acme in and jamie Italico won the pool with a 10 pounder.

Sun 4/4
Good weather made for some good fishing. Plenty of ling and some numbers of pollack coming over the rails. High hook was Mark from northport with 9 keeper cod and Mr. Kim had 7. Bob "the Sidewinder" took the pool with a 24 pound cod.
