FISHING REPORT

week of 8/24
Monday we fished the rips and down the beach. Mr Yoon was high hook with 24 keeper fluke! Joe Tancred nabbed his limit and the pool, a 7 pound fluke

Monday nite we fished Great eastern and in rips. Fishing was a bit on the slower side. Danny Fuchs took the pool with a 24 pound striper.

Tuesday full day we fished the same areas where the pool was won by Joe Pondan with a 6 pound fluke.

Wednesday the fishing improved down the beach. Kim landed 15 keepers. Tony Vigil won the pool with an 8 pounder.

Wednesday night out to the rips. Bill Iken nabbed the pool at 30 pounds.

Thursday we fished fown the beach. Mr. Lee and Kevin Kim each had their limit on fluke. Kenny Donnelly won the pool with a 7 3/4 pounder.

Thursday night we fished great eastern where the pool winner was 9 year old Joe Kabzan who brought a 33 pound striper over the rails.

Friday Ralph Demartino and Ike Zwirn brought in their fluke limits when the boat headed down the beach for some fluke action. Mr. kim #3 was out for his first ever fluke trip and had a nice case of beginners luck. He reeled in 4 keeper fluke over 5 1/2 pounds.

Friday night bassing and the boat limited out at the rips. Doc from Glen Cove was the pool winner with a 26 pounder.

Saturday we stayed to trhe south side. Good quality fluke action. Roy from Manhatten brought a 7 3/4 pounder over the rails. John Koziol brought in an 8 3/4 pound fluke and Rocky Catalfamo nailed an 8.4 pounder. The pool winner was Frank Kilanowski who had a 10.1 doormat as well as a 7 3/4 pound fluke come over the rails. Headed back to the south side for the afternoon where the drift was slow and Roy Arns won th epool with a 5 1/4 pounder.

A real quality sunday to report. fishing down the beach produced some real nice fish. Highlights include: pool winner Mr. Lee 12.0 pound doormat, Bill Iken 11.3 pound doormat, Ira 10.5 pounder and an 9.5 pounder and Victor Chang 10 1/4 pounder. Frank from Bayshore brought in an 8 1/2 pound fluke and Kevin from Harlem landed an 8 pounder. Terrific Day!

Week of 8/17
Sunday nights bass trip did nit disappoint out in the rips. Over 44 keepers came over the rails for the night. the pool winner was Dan Lobel with a 29 pound striper.

Mondays full day

Monday night was a terrific night at the rips and great eastern. 13 year old frank valenti nailed a 31 pound beauty. Jared Perillo took top homors with his 45 pound cow.


Tuesdays full day hd us at the East spot where the bite was on the slower side. The "#1 Fisherman" won the pool with a 5 1/2 pound fluke.

Wednesday full day showed great improvement down the south side and the rips. Mr. Pak won the pool with a 9.8 pounder. Joe landed a nine pounder and 9 year old Nicolas brought in a 7.4 pound fluke.

Wednesday night we were in the rips where it was Bill Iken's night. He had 5 keepers including the pool winner at 25 pounds.

Thursday's full day had some quality highlights. Fishing down the beach, Mr. lee limited out. He had a 7 3/4 pound fluke in gis mix. Rich Mangio won the pool with an 8 1/4 pound fluke.

Thursday night's highlights included 4 keeper stripers brought over the rails by Arlow Miller. He also brought in the pool winner at 25 pounds.

Fridays full day was terrific for quantity and quality taken on the south side. 30 fish came over the rails weighing over 6 pounds. 6 of those fluke were brought in by Mr. Moon. 10 fish were nailed that were over 7 pounds. John Dempsey was the pool winner with his 8 pounder.

Friday night was some pretty good bass fishing in the rips. Ike had 5 keepers. Mike Cervini had the 31 pound pool winner.

Saturday day, good fluking. Brian Coyne had a 7.2 pounder, Kevin Daniels had an 8.6 pounder, and Dave Ruth had a 9.7 pounder.
Saturday night it was a bit slow bassing at the rips and great eastern. Still Bill Iken had 4 keepers and the pool at 26 pounds.

Sunday day fished the South side where Young Kim had 5 fish over 5 pounds. He landed the pool fish at 7 pounds. Ms. Kong was high hook with 13 keepers.


Week of 8/11
Sunday night's bass trip had us out in the Rips where Walter Mazurek landed the 35 pound striped bass pool winner.

Monday's full day took us to the East spot where it was Kevin Jang day. he landed 11 keeper fluke earning him high hook honors. He also took the pool with a 6 3/4 pound fluke.

Monday night bass trip was excellent at Great Eastern. The boat had its limit and the 36 pound pool winner was taken by Vinnie Swanda.

Tuesday's full day showed some better quality fish coming over the rails. 8 fish were 6 pounds or better. 10 year old Chris nabbed a 6 3/4 pounder. The 8 1/4 pound fluke reeled in by Maseo won the pool.

Tuesday night's Full Moon bass trip was excellent. The boat limited out and 5 fish came over the rails weighing over 30 pounds. Dave Petitte won the pool with a 47 pound cow. Bill Iken Jr. had a 31 1/2 pound striper and Mike Riggio landed a 38 pound.

Wednesday the boys from Massapequa Fire Department were out for the day for some good fluke action.

Wednesday night Ralphie T. was the pool winner with a 35 pound striper. He opted to diamond jig and thats how he nailed it. Caught in the North rips.

Thursday was an exploratory trip off Cartwright. There was some good action with Mr. Lee having 12 keeper fluke. 2 of his fish weighed over 7 1/2 pounds. 10 fish came over the rails over 6 pounds. Some good quality around. Henry Halek won the pool with an 8 1/4 pounder. Captain Joel didn't resist the action and brought in a 9.6 pound fluke.

Thursday night produced some good bass action at the rips. Shawn Hester won the pool with a 36 1/2 pound striper.

Friday was a terrific day with some excellent fluke reults. The boat had its limit and Denis Strawkowski was high hook reeling 22 keeprs in. He had the pool fluke at 6 1/2 pounds.

Friday night was a good night for bass action at the rips and great eastern. 4 fish came over the rails weighing over 30 pounds. Matt Donahue was high hook with 7 keepers. Mike Fariello won the pool with a 34 1/2 pounder.

Saturday morning's 1/2 day trip fished the rips and south side. Kevin Daniels won the pool with a 6 1/2 pounder. Debbie was high hook with 5 keepers. Rocky Catalfamo nabbed a 31/2 pound porgie on a fluke rig. The afternoon trip had us back at similiar locations with the pool being won by9 year old Scott Wade with a 5 3/4 pound fluke.

Saturday night we fished the rips where Jared Bundy had a great night nabbing 3 keeper stripers and a 21 pound pool winner.

Sunday day's all day action had Mr. Yu winning the pool with a 10 pound fluke. Eric Hawkins had a private charter and we fished down the beach. 3 fish came over the rails over 7 pounds. Josh from Putnam County nailed an 8 1/2 pounder.

Week of 8/4
Monday's full day took us to the north rips where George Natale landed the pool - a 5 pound fluke.
Monday night's bass trip had Lionel Diaz the winner. We fished the rips and he landed a nice striper in the 30 pound range.

Tuesday's full day had us at the east spot. Doug was the pool winner with a 5 pounder.

Wednesday's combo produced good results from the East spot and rips, Jon had his limit on fluke and stripers. He was high hook with 4 diamond jigged fish. The boat had its limit for fluke as there was a lot of quantity around including many throwbacks and Bob Baribault had the pool winner at 4 1/4 pounds.

Wednesday night was a good night for bassing in the rips. 42 keepers came over the rails for the night. Big Bass Bob Zlokovitz was high hook with 8 keepers. Kathy Kronuch won the pool with a 30 pounder.

Thursday's No Man's Land Trip produced a lot of porgies as well as sea bass up to 5 1/2 pounds. The boat had its limit for fluke and a lot of throwback shorts. Biggest fluke was brought in by Dick Meyerwitz at 6 1/2 pounds. Duc Choi included a 5 1/2 pounder in his take home.

Friday we combo fished the rips and Vic Ghini has high hook with striped bass, nabbing 4. The pool fluke was a 5 1/2 pounder.

Saturday we fished the treasure hole. The morning pool was won by Denise Butta with a 3 1/2 pound fluke. The afternoon, Chris Begnoche took the honors with a 3 1/4 pounder.

Saturday nightwe fished Great Eastern where over 38 keeper stripers made their way onto the boat. kathy Kronuch won the pool with a 31 pounder.

Sunday, a nice 7 pound fluke won the pool. We fished the rips and Mrs. Lee carried away the pool honor.









Week of 7/28

Mondays all day combo had us at the north rips. Steve Matucci was back in action getting his limit on bass with jigs and fluke. Good day for diamond jigging with over 17 keeper stripers coming over the rails. Don Roth won the fluke pool with a 5 pounder.

Monday nights bass trip had us in the rips with the pool striper at 26 pounds caught by Chris Svecz.

Tuesdays full day combo landed us back in the same area. The pool was won by Travis from Texas with his 5 1/2 pound fluke.

Tuesday nights New Moon bass trip took us to the East spot and Rips where the pool was won by Chris Bacalla with a 47 3/4 pounder. Captain Joel nailed a 38 1/2 pounder. Al Dethlefson brought in a 31 pound striper.

Wednesday we sqaw lots of strong action at the North Rips. Alex Halikias nabbed 5 fish over 5 3/4 pounds! He won the pool with a 6 3/4 pound fluke. Steve Matteucci had a 51/2 pounder.

Wednesday night fished the rips for bass. Nice quality with David Kayes taking the pool with a 45 1/4 pounder. Bob Zlokovitz had a 43 1/2 pounder and Joe Julian nailed a 41 1/2 pounder.

Thursday was our No Man's land trip. A great day with a lot of quantity coming over the rails. In addition to the boat limiting out on fluke, there was a terrific mix of porgies and sea bass being caught. Highlights include Chrome Dome's pair of 5 pound sea bass. Mark Kazmae had an 8 1/4 pound fluke and Kenny Donnelly had a 7 3/4 pounder.

Thursday night we fished the East spot for bass. Doc Patkanas had his limit including the pool striper at 26 pounds.

Friday day we stuck close to the South side where we had a strong day of fluking with the boat retaining its limit. Bill Iken took the pool with a 4 pound fluke.

Saturday morning. the South side again with Glenn Ophoff catching his limit. Elaine Weinstein had the pool winning fluke at 5 1/2 pounds. The afternoon pool winner was Moon with a 5 pounder.

Saturday night we were back at the Rips where the pool was won by Chris Ruplin with a 31 pound striped bass.

Sunday day we went to Block Island where there was excellent fishing for a few drifts before the weather conditons changed.
